Silo top filters for cement and powder silo venting. Review airflow, pulse cleaning and mounting requirements, then request a filter quotation.
Final configuration and suitability require a technical review of your material and operating conditions.
eQUIP manufactures silo top filters for dust control during the filling and venting of cement silos, fly ash silos, lime silos and similar dry bulk storage systems. These filters are designed for concrete batching plants, cement terminals, dry mortar plants, silo loading lines and industrial powder handling facilities where clean air venting and dust collection are required.
A silo top filter works as a compact silo top dust collector, capturing airborne dust generated during silo filling while allowing filtered air to be released from the silo. During pneumatic filling, air entering the silo carries fine powder particles upward. The filter elements separate these particles from the air stream and help return the collected material back into the silo.
Depending on the application, the filter can be supplied with cartridge filter elements, jet pulse cleaning system, compressed air cleaning components, access cover, weather protection, mounting flange, dust collection chamber and suitable surface treatment. Filter size, filtration area, cartridge quantity and cleaning configuration can be selected according to silo capacity, material type, filling rate and operating conditions.
A silo top filter is installed on the top of a silo to control dust emissions during filling and venting. It allows displaced air to leave the silo while retaining cement, fly ash, lime, mineral powder and similar fine particles inside the filtration system.
In cement silo and powder storage applications, the filter helps keep the plant cleaner, reduces dust release around the silo roof and supports safer working conditions. With jet pulse cleaning, the filter cartridges can be cleaned automatically by compressed air pulses, helping maintain filtration performance during operation.

My orders and documentsHow to select
A silo venting filter separates dust from air displaced during filling. Silo volume alone is not a filter-sizing criterion: the filling air flow, dust properties, cleaning conditions and permitted pressure drop also matter. The filter does not replace the silo’s separate pressure protection.
The design of a silo top filter depends on the silo volume, filling method, filling rate, material type, dust load, required filtration area, air flow rate and operating environment. eQUIP can configure the filter body, cartridge quantity, filtration area, jet pulse cleaning arrangement, mounting flange and access details according to project requirements.
For fine powders such as cement, fly ash, lime and mineral materials, filter element selection and cleaning performance are important for stable operation. Outdoor installations can be supplied with suitable weather protection, surface treatment and service access according to site conditions.

Powder and filling method; filling air flow if known; simultaneous filling points; existing filter model and flange drawing; available compressed air; photos of the roof and maintenance access.
Send these details with a drawing or photographs and the installation country. Specify the units used, voltage and frequency where relevant; the final configuration and supply scope are confirmed in the quotation.
Questions buyers ask
A silo top filter is a dust filtration unit installed on the top of a silo. It filters dusty air generated during silo filling and helps retain fine powder particles such as cement, fly ash and lime.
In many applications, yes. A silo top filter can also be described as a compact silo top dust collector because it collects dust from air vented during silo filling.
Silo top filters are commonly used on cement silos, fly ash silos, lime silos and powder storage silos in concrete batching plants, cement terminals, dry mortar plants and industrial powder handling systems.
Jet pulse cleaning uses short compressed air pulses to clean the filter cartridges. This helps release accumulated dust from the filter elements and supports stable filtration performance during operation.
Yes. Silo top filters are suitable for cement, fly ash, lime, mineral powders and similar fine dry bulk materials. Filter element selection should be made according to material properties and dust load.
A silo top filter controls dust emissions by filtering air during silo filling. A pressure relief valve is a separate safety device designed to protect the silo from excessive positive or negative pressure. These products have different functions and are often used together on silo systems.
The price depends on filter size, filtration area, cartridge quantity, body material, jet pulse cleaning system, mounting flange, access design, surface treatment and project-specific requirements.
