Silo Fluidization Nozzle is used as a powder flow aid to support material discharge from cement silos, fly ash silos, lime silos, hoppers and dry bulk storage systems. eQUIP supplies silo fluidization nozzles for applications where low-pressure air is introduced into the stored material to help reduce compaction, bridging and irregular discharge.
Final configuration and suitability require a technical review of your material and operating conditions.
A silo fluidization nozzle is installed on the cone section or lower discharge area of a silo or hopper. When air is supplied through the nozzle, it helps loosen and fluidize the powder near the outlet, supporting smoother movement toward the discharge point. This is especially useful for fine powders such as cement, fly ash, lime, mineral powders and similar dry bulk materials that may compact during storage.
Depending on the project, silo fluidization nozzles can be used with air lines, blowers, compressors, control valves and other silo flow aid equipment. The number, position and air supply arrangement should be selected according to silo geometry, material behavior, storage capacity, discharge rate and plant operating conditions.
A silo fluidization nozzle introduces low-pressure air into stored powder material from a localized point near the silo outlet. This air helps reduce friction and compaction around the discharge area, making it easier for the material to flow out of the silo or hopper.
In cement and powder storage systems, fluidization nozzles help support consistent discharge and reduce flow problems near the cone section. They are not designed for long-distance pneumatic conveying; their main function is to improve local powder flow near the discharge area.

My orders and documentsHow to select
The selection of a silo fluidization nozzle depends on the material type, powder fineness, bulk density, moisture level, flow behavior, silo cone angle, outlet design, required discharge rate and available air supply. eQUIP can supply fluidization nozzle configurations for cement silos, fly ash silos, lime silos, hoppers and dry powder storage systems.
For fine powders, the air system should provide enough air to loosen the material without creating uncontrolled discharge or excessive turbulence. The installation position and number of nozzles should be defined according to the silo design and the flow issue. In many systems, silo fluidization nozzles are used together with slide gate valves, butterfly valves, screw conveyors, rotary valves, silo level sensors and other silo equipment.

Questions buyers ask
A silo fluidization nozzle is a flow aid component installed on silos or hoppers to introduce low-pressure air into stored powder material. It helps reduce compaction and supports smoother discharge near the outlet.
It is usually installed on the cone section or lower discharge area of a silo or hopper, close to the outlet where powder flow problems often occur.
Both are used to introduce air into powder materials and support flow. A fluidization nozzle provides localized air injection through a nozzle-type design, while an aeration disc uses a wider disc surface to distribute air.
Silo fluidization nozzles are commonly used for cement, fly ash, lime, mineral powders and similar dry bulk powder materials. The suitability depends on material fineness, moisture level and flow behavior.
No. A silo fluidization nozzle does not convey material over long distances. It helps loosen or fluidize material locally near the silo or hopper outlet to improve discharge.
Yes. Correctly positioned fluidization nozzles can help reduce material compaction, bridging and irregular discharge, especially in fine powder storage applications.
The price depends on nozzle size, material of construction, air connection design, quantity, installation layout, air system requirements and project-specific conditions.
