Final configuration and suitability require a technical review of your material and operating conditions.
Product overview
What are sectional screw flights?
A sectional flight is an individually formed helical segment. Several matching segments can be assembled along a shaft to form a screw. The flight is a component, not a complete conveyor; shaft fit, assembly, welding and drive selection require a separate engineering review.
Dimensions for your enquiry
Sectional flights are specified by finished geometry. The following table is an enquiry checklist, not a stock list or a guaranteed manufacturing range. Dimensions and tolerances are confirmed against the drawing.
| Parameter | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Outside diameter D | Finished outside diameter in mm |
| Inside diameter d | Finished bore and shaft fit in mm |
| Pitch P | Axial advance for one complete turn in mm |
| Thickness t | Plate thickness in mm and measurement position |
| Helix hand | Right-hand or left-hand, shown on the drawing |
| Material | Required grade and service conditions |
| Quantity | Number of segments and required arrangement |
| Tolerances | Drawing revision and permitted dimensional deviations |
Sectional or continuous flighting?
Sectional flights are separate formed pieces. Continuous flighting is an uninterrupted spiral formed from strip. Select according to the drawing, material, thickness and assembly method; the continuous-flight dimension table must not be treated as a sectional-flight specification.

Applications and material selection
For replacing worn flights or assembling a new screw, check the conveyed material, abrasion, corrosion and operating conditions. Carbon steel, stainless steel or wear-resistant plate may be considered. State the required material designation; suitability, thickness and availability are confirmed in the quotation. A material name alone does not establish food-contact or ATEX compliance.
