Pressure Relief Valve

Pressure Relief Valve

Pressure relief valves are critical safety components used in cement, lime, and gypsum silos to protect against overpressure events. At eQUIP, we supply industrial-grade relief valves designed to maintain safe working conditions and prevent silo damage caused by excessive internal pressure.

These valves are typically installed on top of bulk storage silos, where they act as a last line of defense in case of a sudden pressure spike—often caused by blocked filters, rapid pneumatic filling, or equipment malfunction. Our relief valves are spring-loaded or counterweight balanced, calibrated to open at specific pressure thresholds (e.g. 0.1 to 0.5 bar) and close once pressure normalizes.

The body is made of powder-coated aluminum or stainless steel, and the seal system ensures airtight closure under normal operating conditions. Ventilation is directed safely through vertical discharge ducts, often with built-in dust caps to prevent contamination and debris entry.

eQUIP pressure relief valves support silo capacities ranging from 20 m³ to 120 m³, and are compatible with both flat-top and conical silo roofs. They are easy to install via flange connections and require minimal maintenance thanks to their durable internal components.

Compliance with ATEX and silo safety regulations is ensured, and each unit is tested and certified for industrial use. Combining these valves with silo top filters and pneumatic filling systems creates a reliable safety ecosystem.

If you're looking to secure your silos against pressure-related risks, our pressure relief valve series offers peace of mind, efficiency, and compliance.
